The Helfensteiner
People in the 13th century

We welcome you into our association.
Come close and do not worry. Nobody has ever been harmed by our hospitality. Have a drink and look at our report.
We are a club in the town of the 5 valleys, Geislingen. We devote ourselves to the study and imitation of the way people lived in the 13th century. We take our name after the lineage county, Helfenstein, which did a lot as followers of the Staufer Counts.
The ancestral castle, Helfenstein, is located on a mountain overlooking Geislingen and with all our senses (feeling, hearing, seeing, tasting) we try to obtain insight into the way of living in the Middle Ages. We can be seen as participants in camps, in public places in our area and in various organisations, schools and nurseries. We offer “days of experience” together with teachers and educators. On such occasions we show clothing, dancing, cooking and the use of weapons.
Maybe you are lucky and will meet us on a weekend in our ancestral castle.
Enough said. Look around an if you like what you see, then my friend, I look forward to your news in our Guestbook or by our carrier pigeon.
We wish you pleasant days, wellbeing and a smooth path ahead, now and always.
